Premiere: Villette Unveils New Song 'Bag Of Bones'
Auckland electronic producer and singer Villette has shared the stunning first track from her hotly anticipated mixtape Drip Crimson. A song of self-reflection, the beautifully produced tune starts with sparse acapella vocals from Villette before intensifying with dramatic beats to a powerful conclusion. She’ll be supporting the release of Drip Crimson with a debut headline tour playing special shows in Auckland and Wellington. Here’s the Red Bull Sound Select artist on the new song and upcoming mixtape…
"The track 'Bag of Bones' is probably my most personal song to date. It's about a feeling of emptiness, quite literally a "bag of bones". The mixtape 'Drip Crimson' follows the process of a girl going through an unhealthy/toxic relationship. Each song has it's own feeling/set emotion. In context, 'Bag of Bones' is the self reflection, realisation track. It shows how the girl has changed and lost herself within the relationship, and in context it fits into the mixtape as being the track that is mostly inward thinking."
