William Shatner Covers 'Garbageman' By The Cramps

Television mainstay William Shatner has shared his idiosyncratic cover of The Cramps’ classic tune ‘Garbageman’. The reimagining has its own surreal sense of spookiness with Shatner’s Bela Lugosi-esque vocal tones complimenting the subtly menacing riffs perfectly.

The tune is lifted from Dr Demento Covered In Punk, a compilation which sees participants doing punk covers of novelty songs and novelty covers of punk songs. Contributors include Weird Al Yankovic, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, The Misfits, Shonen Knife and of course Mr Shatner himself. Check out ‘Garbageman’ below…
