Live Photos: Mike Portnoy's Shattered Fortress - The Studio, Auckland

US heavy metal drumming maestro Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, The Winery Dogs, Flying Colors) brought his prog-rock powerhouse band Shattered Fortress to Auckland last night for a special performance at The Studio. The group played the entirety of Portney’s ’12 Step Suite’, a series of songs scattered across five Dream Theater albums dealing with the virtuoso drummer’s battle with alcoholism.
