Ryan Hendriks Unveils Suspenseful Video 'Sirens' Feat. Cleophus

Auckland-based rapper Ryan Hendriks, of hip hop duo Badcorporation and label / collective The Grow Room, has dropped a noir-ish clip for his tune 'Sirens' in collaboration with regular partner in crime Cleophus. The self-directed video for 'Sirens' features the artist on the run through the darkened and ancient streets of Cahors, France, with constantly ringing background sounds ratcheting up tension throughout. It's the official prequel to Hendriks' short film Old Zealand, a visual accompaniment to the Dutch-Māori artist's new album of the same name, which explores themes of colonisation and decolonisation relating to his own heritage, and was recorded in The Hague while recently touring Europe. Hendriks will be celebrating with Old Zealand release parties at Dunedin's Re:Fuel on Wednesday 7th March and Wellington's Valhalla on Friday 16th March.
