It Hurts Return With Four Track 'Estuary' EP

It Hurts Return With Four Track 'Estuary' EP

Wednesday 5th September, 2018 10:37AM

Auckland noise supergroup It Hurts brought together the creative talents of Beth Dawson (Ducklingmonster, Futurians), Claire Mahoney (Thistle Group) and Angeline Chirnside (Jane Austen) in the early part of this decade to lay waste to the eardrums of local punters in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, via their association with the adventurous, park-loving No Venues collective. The trio are back with their first collection in four years Estuary, gathering together four deeply fried cuts recorded between 2014 and 2018 with overdubs laid down early this year. As Chirnside is now based in Canada working on new musical projects it's unlikely we'll see a reunion show in the short term, you can cop the latest release as a highly covetable and limited 8" lathe available soon via Independent Woman Records and vibe out to a stream of Estuary here...

Beth Dawson is playing in new super-trio O/PUS alongside Stefan Neville (Pumice, Olympus) and Liz Matthews (Hex, Octopus) this Friday 7th September at Auckland's Audio Foundation, supporting Wellington's Mr Sterile Assembly.
