Old Loaves Reissue Debut Album 'Drowser'

Monday 29th October, 2018 1:23PM

Auckland / Hamilton / Rotorua heavy hitters Old Loaves are re-releasing their 2012 debut album Drowser on cassette and are playing rare live events in Auckland and Wellington this November. The profits from the limited run of tapes will be donated to The 72 Club initiative which is raising funds for Lifeline, in remembrance of the band's friend and founding bassist Kalem O’Brien who died by suicide six months ago. Old Loaves drummer and Press Gang Records founder Cam Reid stated the re-issue was very close to the band’s heart, saying “we hope we have found a fitting way to farewell our friend and the music that we made with him.”

To commemorate the release, Old Loaves are playing their first Wellington show in four years as well as performing at one of the last shows for Auckland all ages hotspot The Vault. The band are touring with Hamilton post-hardcore quartet Wakhan Corridor who recently dropped their smashing, self-titled debut EP. Also playing are top notch punk crews Unsanitary Napkin, Nuggiez, Repairs and Bulk Bogan. Old Loaves will be unleashing a new album in 2019, Listen to Drowser below...
