Wellington "canyon folk" songwriter Michael James Keane (of So Laid Back Country China) has followed up his somber recent single 'I Was Dancing' with an eight track solo collection titled The Cascade. Recorded by James Goldsmith at the capital's Blue Barn Recording Studio, Keane's rich and mournful voice sits front and centre in the mix, emphasising the dark intimacy of his emotionally intense lyrics, set against instrumentation ranging from delicately subdued to powerfully dramatic.
