Wellington's Beatcomber have unveiled their first release since 2016 with 'Melancauli', a delectable slice of organ-driven, 60s styled guitar pop from the band's upcoming Creature Comforts EP. Recorded by Trent Williams with spine-tingling vocals recorded by Steven John Marr at Dunedin's Radio One, the five piece's new tune waves goodbye to sunny summer days and welcomes autumnal shut-in introspection via dashed romance, with singer / keyboardist Sophie Scott-Maunder's voice soaring above fuzzy surf-licks and swirling keys. The team of Scott-Maunder, Trent Williams, Jonathan Shirley, Sam Young and Thomas King are currently split between Wellington, Dunedin and London, but geographical distance doesn't make the prospect of the currently dormant group's forthcoming collection any less enticing. Dive into Beatcomber's 'Melancauli' here...
