True icons of heavy metal Slayer stormed the stage at Auckland's Eventfinda Stadium on Friday for the first of two New Zealand headline events with support from NYC thrash trailblazers Anthrax, who are also playing together in Christchurch on Sunday. Fans were out in full force to experience the long-running US group's last ever Auckland show, as the titanic team of Tom Araya, Paul Bostaph, Kerry King, and Gary Holt are pulling the plug on their hugely influential, Grammy Award-winning, multi-million record selling project.
