Auckland's Thorington Drops Single 'Major League'

Tāmaki Makaurau’s James Thorrington has stepped out from behind the Being. and Yukon Era drum kits to take to the stage as Thorington, with his latest psych-pop solo single 'Major League'. This is the second track that’s reached public ears under that name, following the release of 'Connection' earlier this year, and it’s a positively swoon-worthy collision of funk, surf and rock sounds. The 18-year-old wrote and recorded 'Major League' while he was 17, mastered by Tom Verberne, and described it as a song that "explores the concepts of rumours and misconceptions, and the weird ways of the high school environment".
