Manchester synth-pop stalwarts New Order have unveiled a new live album, reworking and reimagining their enviable back catalogue. ∑(No,12k,Lg,17Mif) New Order + Liam Gillick: So it goes.. was recorded in 2017 during a residency at Manchester’s Old Granada Studios - the same studios where Joy Division made their television debut in 1978 on Tony Wilson’s So It Goes - in collaboration with visual artist Liam Gillick. The performance sees New Order classics such as 'Bizarre Love Triangle' and 'Sub Culture' (plus fan favourite deep cuts and even some Joy Division material) given a new cinematic expansiveness with the help of composer-arranger Joe Duddell, and a hefty 12 piece synthesiser orchestra. Glee might not be an emotion often associated with New Order, but you can really hear it here as the band bask in these massive new arrangements. A must for fans (no, they don’t play 'Blue Monday').

'∑(No,12k,Lg,17Mif) New Order + Liam Gillick: So it goes..' is out now via Mute digitally, on double CD, and triple vinyl LP.
