Tāmaki Makaurau tunesmith sidekicknick, the solo recording project of Nick Buckton (Voom), will be lifting the lid on not one but two long players this September – titled The Red Planet Plan and The Blue Planet Plan – gifting fans a flood of new tunes following the decade-plus drought since 2008's Miscellaneous Aventures. Boosted forward by driving bass grooves, fuzzy guitars and punchy drums, sidekicknick's frenetic latest single 'The Red Planet Plan I Planned You For' packs plenty of oomph as the artist looks to outer space as an imaginative alternative to everyday domestic routines.
