Pikachunes Returns With Reflective Single ‘Submission’

Aotearoa electronic maestro Pikachunes aka Miles G. Loveless is back with a reflective single titled ‘Submission’. The track is a beat-driven marriage of retrofuturistic Casio-tones, synth-smatterings and the artist’s biting but charming commentary on isolation in our post-internet era. Lines such as “I’m riding ones and zeros, just tryna to be your hero. We’re on the info highway, just tryna be somebody” sum up the present day’s device-drowning paradyme in a nutshell. ‘Submission’ is the lead single from Pikachunes’ forthcoming EP P.E, his first collection since 2017's Allely, set to be released in September. "For me this song was inspired by certain periods of self inflicted loneliness, where I found solace within the very shallow and self serving parts of technology as a whole. It is equally inspired by witnessing how technology, social media in particular, is creating status anxiety within its broader users."
