Tāmaki Makaurau's inaugural Deep Dive Festival is gearing up to deliver much more than your average festy fodder, presenting a sublime selection of underground local artists making waves over multiple stages at Whammy Bar and Backroom in mid-August. Guaranteeing "one night of the best shit in town" at "the only dive bar worth its salt", the carefully curated, eclectic lineup includes Point Chevalier punk rock firecrackers Cindy, crowd-moving rap guru Dbldbl, super catchy party starters Hang Loose, club-shaking DJ and producer k2k, and the long-awaited return of Wilberforces – with even more thrilling names to be revealed soon.
