Press release:

The kaupapa behind Girls Rock! Aotearoa is to build a more inclusive and equal world. This hearty organisation puts on nationwide week-long holiday programmes for young women, trans and gender non-conforming youth where music is the medium to build confidence and empowerment. They recently expanded their programme to Pōneke with the support of an overwhelmingly successful crowdfunding campaign. Participants form bands, learn instruments and write original music that is performed at the end of camp. The Others Way is very proud to have Girls Rock! Aotearoa involved for a second year, and honoured they would bring their good mahi and wairua to the festival. Music rules - the world could benefit from more young women, trans and non-binary youth get involved in the magic!
