Experience Aporia's Exotic Single 'Moog In Cairo'

Berlin-based exploratory synthesists Aporia (led by Tāmaki Makaurau’s Mitchell O’Sullivan) have unveiled a new single 'Moog In Cairo', from their upcoming sophomore album Hotel Aporia. Channeling 50’s and 60’s exotica and library records (think Martin Denny’s Exotic Moog), 'Moog In Cairo' is rich with bubbling synths, washed-out surf guitar, and an extraordinary array of percussion, coming together for a dramatically noir and evocative instrumental. O'Sullivan had this to say about the track:

"This piece explores a 'possible worlds' journey through a future and imagined Cairo. This fictional and phantasmic trek through this imaginary future land became a tool and lens to study the past, present and future. We try to see into the future to imagine where the human race might be going but also to pay homage to where we have been and come from."

'Hotel Aporia' will be released digitally and on vinyl through Cosmic Compositions and Fantasy Fiction on Friday 19th September.
