Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross Unveil 'Watchmen: Volume 2 (Music From The HBO Series)'

Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and regular collaborator Atticus Ross have unveiled the second volume of Watchmen (Music From The HBO Series), the musical complement to Damon Lindelof's reimagining of UK writer Alan Moore's classic deconstruction of superhero tropes. Moore himself is famously against the rapturously received new series, citing decades of exploitation by his original publisher DC who have mined his work for fresh intellectual property without the pioneering artist's permission, courtesy of a contract loophole. Despite that ongoing creator's rights controversy, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' score offers a suitably doomy and evocative listening experience in its own right, operating in a considerably more restrained cinematic mode to Reznor's iconic mid-90s Quake video game soundtrack...

'Watchmen: Volume 2 (Music From The HBO Series)' is out now via The Null Corporation.
