Repulsive Woman & Adelaide Cara Unveil Xmas Single 'Mary, I Think You Should Know'

C.C. / Friday 13th December, 2019 11:22AM

Christmas singles: we love them! On the heels of Tāmaki Makaurau italo duo Amelia & Maddy's neo-BBQ anthem 'Hot Christmas' comes a festive release of a different kind from Ōtepoti songwriters Adelaide Cara and Repulsive Woman (aka Millie Lovelock, who's recently relocated to the UK). Originally written and performed by the pair for RNZ's recent Christmas song competition and drawing inspiration from the works of Marika Hackman and Enya, the contemplative 'Mary, I Think You Should Know' stands on its own, with crisp give-and-take twin vocals reflecting on seasonal disaffection over gently swirling sonics and just a hint of sleigh bells...
