Stream Hamerkop's Debut Album 'Remote'

A.K. / Tuesday 11th February, 2020 10:49AM

Baltimore electronic-pop duo Hamerkop, one part Annabel Alpers (Bachelorette) and one part Adam Cooke, have dropped their debut album Remote via Drag City and Flying Nun. Combining Alpers' collection of worldwide field recordings with booming bass and toms, Remote feels like a ready-made soundtrack for an inspirational indie film, practically conjuring up a visual world on its own. Hamerkop make their way back to Aotearoa shores for a run of immersive release shows next month, performing masked and almost hidden to an audience encompassed by speakers. Find them in Hamilton, Pōneke and Ōtautahi galleries and gardens early March. For now, shut the door, close your eyes and crank up Remote...

Hamerkop's debut album 'Remote' releases in New Zealand on vinyl LP on Friday 28th February via Flying Nun, pre-orders are available now.
