Horror In Clay Unveil Single 'Burnt Hands'

Horror In Clay Unveil Single 'Burnt Hands'

C.C. / Artwork by Charlotte Gallichan-Stewart. / Monday 4th May, 2020 3:04PM

Launched on Friday amongst a flurry of local releases for the first day of NZ Music Month, Horror In Clay's scorched earth standalone single 'Burnt Hands' offers a snarling antidote to our current playlist-friendly pop landscape. Joined by new member George Aitken and tracked, mixed and mastered by Aonghas Jones, the jagged, discombobulating grooves of 'Burnt Hands' sound not unlike someone chopped the roof off an old Lada station wagon with a hacksaw, painted it with black house paint, slashed the tyres then took it for a joyride, while passengers took turns reassembling guitars in the back seat. I won't pretend to know for sure what the Tāmaki Makaurau crew are singing about here, but I do know for sure Horror In Clay's latest is great stuff indeed – listen up below...

'Burnt Hands' is out now digitally on Bandcamp via Muzai + will launch on streaming services later this month.
