Listen To Peaking Lights' New Album 'E S C A P E'
C.C. / Tuesday 12th May, 2020 11:33AM
LA sonic travellers Peaking Lights have dished up a new collection of dubbed-out grooves, keeping minds suitably fried while we await the return of NZ's gig scene from next week onwards. The first long player in two years from the wife / husband team of Indra Dunis and Aaron Coyes (fun fact: he lived on Karangahape Road in the 00s) sees them deploy grittier textures than the smooth cosmic flow of such faves as 2012's Lucifer, embracing an almost cold wave-y electronic palette at times, while losing none of their hip-shaking psychedelic dreaminess. An hour-plus, club-ready party starter released in synch with Aotearoa's cooler months, delve into the fractal-like rhythms of E S C A P E here...
'E S C A P E' is out now via Dekmantel.
