During this strange transition from forced introversion to no holds barred, Bic Runga provides a simple solution in her contribution to The Pantograph Punch's Artist in Residence podcast series. In the final episode of ten, Runga takes listeners by the hips for 'Level 2', a six minute instrumental disco experience "to listen to when you want to get your groove back on", mixed by Kody Nielson (The Mint Chicks) and with bass from fellow King Sweeties collaborator Cass Basil (Tiny Ruins). The aim of the podcast series has been to connect to others in isolation, and find common struggles to work through together. The struggle this time is the myriad of feelings that come with Aotearoa moving out of lockdown, and being both relieved for our sake, but sad about the ongoing global tragedies. Listen to 'Level 2' and let yourself have a little dance today...
