We're still buzzing to Clipping's creepy track 'Say The Name', so today's latest single from their forthcoming album Visions of Bodies Being Burned is an enticing prospect indeed. Dripping with dread and reinforced with industrial breakbeats, the LA experimental rap trio's 'Pain Everyday' is a collaboration with artist and paranormal investigator Michael Esposito, utilising EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recordings in articulating a steely "call-to-arms for the ghosts of lynching victims to haunt the white descendants of their murderers." The new record completes a horrorcore-inspired diptych begun with last year's critically celebrated There Existed an Addiction To Blood, launching the week before Halloween.

Rapper Daveed Diggs spoke about the challenges of recording the mazelike track: "This song was one of the most challenging to write because it’s the first time we’ve done a track entirely in ⅞, which, it turns out, is kind of a mind fuck. I love how it came out because it’s in this odd time signature but the flow still feels natural, like rap is supposed to."

Experience the lyric video for 'Pain Everyday' directed by Clipping’s Jonathan Snipes and Cristina Bercovitz...

'Visions of Bodies Being Burned' releases on Friday 23rd October via Sub Pop Records.
