Watch Joe Sampson's Video For 'I'm Under No Obligation To Enjoy Myself'

Chris Cudby / Friday 30th October, 2020 2:18PM

With all the drama that's gone down this year (including today), it's wild to think Joe Sampson's electronic-infused solo album When Did Things Become So So-So? only came out in June. Reminding us of the futuristic pleasures of that record and foreshadowing fresh shows on the horizon, the Ōtautahi artist reveals retina-searing analogue visuals for ominously bleepy album track 'I'm Under No Obligation To Enjoy Myself'. Lover of long titles and multi-talented member of such revered units as Salad Boys, T54 and The Dance Asthmatics, Sampson's long-player is set to be released on 10" lathe cut via the champs at Ride On Super Sound, with pre-orders available over on his Bandcamp page here. You can catch Sampson with five piece band featuring members of Salad Boys, T54 and some new collaborators at darkroom's Christmas gig on Saturday 19th December and Space Academy's Xmas shindig on Wednesday 23rd December — lose your mind inside the new video here...
