The Beach Ball Summer Tour Announced Ft. Marlin's Dreaming, Soaked Oats, Daffodils

Sun's out, summer's nearly here and it's time to celebrate Aotearoa's uniquely energised live music scene, while shows across the globe are still stuck on hold due to Covid-19. Purveyors of sparkling guitar-driven melodies, Marlin's Dreaming, Soaked Oats and Daffodils are teaming up to move crowds across the upper half of the North Island on The Beach Ball tour in late December / early January , including a special New Years Eve extravaganza at Tāmaki Makaurau's Galatos on the 31st with Frank Booker (sans Daffodils for that night). Sounds like a sure-fire recipe for five jam-packed events, we highly recommend you slap on some sunblock and grab tickets quick — here are the details...

Tuesday 29th December - Waihi Beach Hotel, with Daffodils, Marlin's Dreaming and Soaked Oats
Thursday 31st December - Galatos, Auckland, with Marlin's Dreaming, Soaked Oats and Frank Booker*
Saturday 2nd January - Sawmill Cafe, Leigh with Daffodils, Marlin's Dreaming and Soaked Oats
Sunday 3rd January - Yot Club, Raglan with Daffodils, Marlin's Dreaming and Soaked Oats

The good folk at Pals are stoked to present The Beach Ball, a summer tour like no other showcasing some of Aotearoa's freshest acts! Think sun, think sand, think a whole lot of good vibes to help you max out those two weeks of annual leave you booked way back in May.

The Beach Ball will be careening around five of the North Island's most iconic venues, kicking things off at Butler's Reef in Oakura on December 28 and wrapping up at the Yot Club on January 3, with stops in Waihi, Auckland & Leigh along the way.

That means Daffodils, Marlin's Dreaming, and Soaked Oats will be jumping in a van and rolling along the coast, on a mission to create the pop, punk, indie, sludgy soundtrack of your summer season.

And for one very special show, there’s even more to be excited about… With Daffodils away rocking it at Rhythm and Vines, party-starting DJ Frank Booker will be joining the party to close out the NYE show at Auckland’s Galatos!
