N.T. Honey Share Single / Video 'Run Away' + Announce Debut Album

Annabel Kean / Friday 12th February, 2021 9:14AM

There's something really comforting about N.T. Honey telling me "it's okay to run away" on their new single this morning, and I bet 'Run Away' would be the perfect highway soundtrack for skipping town. Not that I'll be running away any time soon, at least not before they've released their debut album Accidental Punk, out on their new label family Sunreturn in April. The lo-fi garage cut from N.T. Honey songwriter Anya Henis is joyously raucous, belted out with help from bandmates Beth Dawson (Ducklingmonster, The Futurians) on bass, and drummer Jade Farley (Pumice, The Gladeyes). Spot the Tāmaki gang in their wicked DIY-look clip — made by Ralph Brown, Yoon Young Lee and Carmel Rowden — ripping up the skate park in the early morning before the 'splainy skate-dads could kickflip up and kill the buzz. It's so refreshing to see people enjoying the gentle slopes and smooth surfaces without the pressure to do anything fancy, Gopros still out in force. Congrats on the new signing Sunreturn, N.T. Honey is a keeper...

N. T. Honey's debut album 'Accidental Punk' is out April 23rd on Sunreturn Records.
