Award-winning soundtrack composer Karl Steven, the latest gem in the Sunreturn Records crown, today unleashes the lead track from his just-announced forthcoming album All Of Human Emotion On Microfiche. Not even a week has passed since Steven shared Whakaari, the most recent addition to his impressive compendium of film scores, and he's already donned his noise artist hat to share single 'Freedom Bells'. Closer to the realm of his creations as one half of Queen Neptune, 'Freedom Bells' lulls you into a false sense of soundscape before fully enveloping the listener in glitched out fuzz, crunch and idiophones. Courtesy of Mindfulness For Machines aka Marcel Bellvé (Crap Date, Lipsink), the new cut arrives with suitably unwieldy visuals, the tasty result of computer generated "pretty mistakes". Whip up your own neon nightmare using Bellvé's recipe:

"First, generate some noise. Then add noise to the noise and spin. The gas should be on. Add a pinch of particle simulation (fun but not necessary). Now, get out your trusty pixel sorter and blend. While that's happening, ask Karl Steven if you can drop some of his music into the mix. He'll say "yes". Now we're cooking. Taste. Let Karl taste. He'll say something like "how about some New Order?". He's half right. Add equal parts New Order and also H.R. Giger. If something's still missing, ask Karl for his face. He'll say "yes". Add as a garnish and serve."

Karl Steven's album 'All Of Human Emotion On Microfiche' is out later this year via Sunreturn Records.
