Tāmaki independent imprint NO Label are maintaining a rapid-fire release rate in 2022 — launching over the past month a 7" lathe edition of Roy Irwin's 'The Comedian' (backed with 'Morningside'), a two track 8" lathe from noisy super-duo Monsterwitch and now the debut release from vōtiv. The sound-making nom de plume of Ava Mahoney (1000 Hues of Golden Fire, Vow Cave, Psychick Witch), vōtiv's two long-form tracks 'In The Forgetting' and 'So She May Shine' engulf ears with elegant washes of haunting drones and glacial abstract ambience.
