Ōtautahi’s multi-venue DarkSpace festival returns in September to take over Darkroom, Space Academy and 12 Bar, treating gig-goers to a handily located bakers dozen of awesome acts from both Canterbury and further afield. Brought to you by Three Boys Brewery, this year's lineup includes Ōtepoti's electrifying diddley bow duo Night Lunch, Melted Ice Cream super team Violet French and The Horrible, duel guitar sonic voyagers Opawa 45s, songwriting sensation Emily Fairlight and a whole lot more. Grip the full lineup details and secure your spot for the limited capacity mega-fest rager before it's too late...

Press release:

Ticketing will be located at 12 Bar. Please check in there to get your wristband which will allow you entry to all three venues. Limited door sales will be available for $40, if the event isn’t sold out already. The last five DarkSpaces have hit capacity quick - so don’t muck around and grab your ticket now!

Each venue has a limited capacity and our friendly security team will be managing this. If a venue is at capacity and you are turned away, never fear - head to one of the other two venues where your new favourite band may well be taking to the stage, and check back in a while later to see if space has freed up at the other venue for you to come inside.

Our venues ask that you please consider wearing your mask as much as possible throughout the night.

Please take care when crossing the road between venues!

Darkroom, Space Academy and 12 Bar aim to foster safe and inclusive spaces for people from all walks of life to enjoy. Antisocial behaviour or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. Please alert any of our friendly bar or security team if you have any concerns or queries.
