“Close2home is all about being proud of who you are and where you come from. We do it a bit different down here (in Aotearoa New Zealand), from the accent to the culture and lifestyle, we’ve got our own thing going on down here and I don’t think it gets enough recognition. I wanted to make something that everyone across the motu could bop to, but at the same time is very Papakura, very South Auckland. If I could sum this song up, it would be bombs off Maraetai and the bakery run to Callums.” — FABLE
