The all-star Sunday Best fundraiser event has been announced in support of Wellington music legend Paul Huggins, helmsman of the Rough Peel Music (RPM) record store and imprint, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer (Glioblastoma Multiforme). Trinity Roots, The Eastern, End Boss, Cakekitchen, The Nudge and special guest DJs are coming together at the capital's San Fran this Sunday to help "raise money for the (unfunded) drug Avastin, which costs $10000 a month. This treatment will help prolong Paul’s life, giving him more time to be a father, partner, brother, son, and friend." Head along and celebrate a crucial member of our music community, who has helped uncountable local talents over the years. If you can't make it along, please consider donating to Paul's givealittle page (which includes more info on the ongoing fundraising initiative) HERE.

Press release:

Please come join us on Sunday September the 4th at San Fran for a celebration of our friend Paul Huggins.

Paul has been a passionate supporter of local music for over 20 years, and has been integral to helping launch the careers of many musicians over this time - most will know Paul from his record store and label, RPM Records.

Paul and his family are now facing his terminal cancer diagnosis, and he doesn’t have much time left with us, so a bunch of the bands and artists that Paul has supported over the years will combine to throw a party for Paul, in honour of his mahi aroha.

This gig is a way to help raise money for the (unfunded) drug Avastin, which costs $10000 a month. This treatment will help prolong Paul’s life, giving him more time to be a father, partner, brother, son, and friend.

Confirmed acts for this gig are Cakekitchen, The Nudge, The Eastern, Endboss, and a rare appearance from the original line-up of Trinity Roots.

Also, you can make a donation to help Paul right here (link below)
