Kicking off in Sydney back in 1981 and charging hard as ever, Australian rock icons Hoodoo Gurus have announced their first New Zealand tour in twenty years, making their long overdue return with four headline dates in March 2023. They'll be treating Auckland fans to shows in the central city and at Whangaparāoa's Parāoa Brewing, with their Powerstation event featuring special guests Blam Blam Blam, aka local legends Don McGlashan, Mark Bell and Tim Mahon. Those super city gigs will followed by a performance at Canterbury's Selwyn Sounds festival, concluding the whirlwind tour at Hutt Sounds festival in Upper Hutt. Check out the star-studded lineups for all four events below — including Sir Dave Dobbyn, Mi-Sex, Stellar*, Gin Wigmore and Greg Johnson.

Ruling Australasian airwaves in the '80s and '90s with such standout long players as Mars Needs Guitars! (1985), Blow Your Cool! (1987) and Kinky (1991) Hoodoo Gurus achieved an unbroken run of number one US college radio chart placings for their first four records and were inducted into Australia's ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007. Still fronted by founding singer / guitarist Dave Faulkner, Hoodoo Gurus promise such hits as 'What’s my Scene', 'Like Wow - Wipe Out', 'Bittersweet', 'My Girl' and '1000 Miles Away', plus fan favourites from across a storied career spanning more than four decades. Don't miss them playing alongside a cast of local all-stars at the following dates...

“We’re thrilled to be coming back to New Zealand. Finally! We were starting to think it was never gonna happen - but we’re off and running now, with a spring in our step and a fire in our bellies. We’re coming to shake it down on The Shaky Isles!” — Dave Faulkner
