Luke Buda Covers Sparklehorse's 'Painbirds' + Frank Black's 'Sir Rockabye'

2022 Taite Music Prize Finalist for his solo album BUDA, The Phoenix Foundation co-founder Luke Buda graces this Friday with COVERS 3, the latest instalment in an ongoing series initially sparked during the lockdown era. Revisiting "songs from two of his most beloved albums from the '90s", Buda serves up a mellow, analogue synth-infused reimagining of Sparklehorse's 'Painbirds' (from 1998's Good Morning Spider) featuring backing vocals by Anita Clark (Motte), plus a tender take on Frank Black's ‘Sir Rockabye’ (from the Pixies frontman's 1994 solo record Teenager Of The Year) on his new two track release.
