Watch The Veils' Video For New Single 'No Limit Of Stars'

Embarking on an extensive tour of Aotearoa this coming March / April in celebration of The Veils' first official new long player in seven years …And Out Of The Void Came Love, Devonport icon Finn Andrews and band unfurled late week second single 'No Limit Of Stars'. A poetic rumination on "the certainty of death, the power of new life, and the dizziness of contemplating your place in an unknowably vast cosmos" — feeling somewhere between Morricone-esque epic sweep and Nick Cave dramatic croon — the song launched with cinematic visuals directed by Alexander Gandar, made with support from NZ On Air.

Inspired by US political thriller The Parallax View (which Žižek's influential 2006 book was named after) the video reimagines the 1974 film's Human Engineering Recruitment Test sequence. Actor Lucas Armstrong is subjected to a dizzying montage of 20th century western civilisation (and beyond) imagery encompassing horror and bliss, projected atop Andrews with bandmates Cass Basil, Tom Healy, Joe McCallum, and Liam Gerrard.
