Ryan Fisherman Returns With Single / Video 'End'

Ryan Fisherman aka Ryan Chin makes a triumphant return to the folkosphere this morning with invigorating new single and video 'End', his first release since unveiling debut album Vibe in early 2020. Stacked with rhythmic strings and hypnotising psychedelic vocals, the fresh track is positively thrumming with the warmth we've come to know from Fisherman's previous offerings, although a damn sight more upbeat than the pared back and moody tunes on his debut. 'End' was recorded in the Ōtautahi producer's home studio 'The Hut' and is the first taste of a Ryan Fisherman sophomore album in the pipeline for release later this year.

Along with news of more to come, we're treated to a phenomenal visual accompaniment to 'End' dreamt up by fellow Christchurch artist Andrew Knopp of musical duo The Response. Created with support from NZ On Air, Knopp worked with Fisherman's prompt "Maybe just a buzzy video of weird dancing cats" and delivered the below clip, taking the viewer on one feline's post-apocalyptic journey of artistic expression, friendship and The Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro except it's a giant spider...
