An absolutely stonking first lineup has been unveiled for Aotearoa's summer tradition Rhythm & Alps, waving goodbye to 2023 and embracing the new year at Wānaka's Cardrona Valley from 29th to 31st December. Welcoming back firm festival favourites alongside fresh new faces, the five stage extravaganza will host a diversity of international and local party-bringers. The initial bill includes BENEE, legendary Pōneke dub travellers Fat Freddy's Drop, New South Wales surf-psych collective Ocean Alley, South London production wiz Ross From Friends (Brainfeeder), Belfast-born, London-based electronic duo BICEP (Ninja Tune), Californian house / funk sensation Channel Tres, Public Possession-affiliated NZ producer / tune-spinner Nice Girl, Aotearoa drum and bass guru Paige Julia, reunited local hip hop mavericks Home Brew and even more, reaching an epic crescendo at midnight on the 31st with Synthony's orchestra and fireworks spectacular. Grip the details announced today and look forward to more lineup details to be revealed soon...

“We are immensely proud of the carefully curated first artist announce for the 2023 event. We have worked hard over the years to build an inclusive event, with a little something for everybody - performers and festival goers alike - and 2023 promises to be another exciting and welcoming festival for all.

Rhythm & Alps is the best place to be in New Zealand for New Year’s. Awesome music, immaculate stage production, amazing weather and a 100% good vibes.” — Alex Turnball, event organiser
