Listen To Bar Italia's New Album 'The Twits'

Earning themselves an ever-growing and curious following, London-based trio Bar Italia today unveil their fourth long player The Twits via Matador Records. Released only six months after their previous record Tracey Denim caught the attention of the world, the thirteen-track collection was recorded over eight weeks in a home studio in Mallorca. Bar Italia is the rock-and-more meshing of Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi and Sam Fenton, who first collided in 2018 at a "bad" open mic night (of all places). Lead single ‘my little tony’ has been circulating its overdriven guitars and memorable mantras through our local 95bFM live wires. There’s also the falsetto woes of ‘Real house vibes (desperate house vibes)’ and the conversational and emotive country blues of ‘Jelsy’. Thanks to Dean Blunt’s World Music label, their 2020 debut propelled the quasi-anonymous, genre-melting rockers into acclaim from the likes of The Guardian (who recently praised them as "the band of 2023") and NME.

After making their US live debut in June, they’re currently taking over the UK and Europe on tour, and will soon let rip at such high profile festivals as Stay Out West and Pitchfork Music Festival Paris. Listen up and cross fingers for local performances...
