Suffocation Touring New Zealand in April 2024

US death metal pioneers Suffocation have today announced a triple date tour of Aotearoa, directly following Friday's launch of their ninth studio long player Hymns From The Apocrypha via Nuclear Blast. Forging their own path with 1991's landmark debut album Effigy of the Forgotten, the veteran Long Island crew of Terrance Hobbs (guitars), Derek Boyer (bass), Charles Errigo (guitars), Eric Morotti (drums), and new recruit Ricky Myers (vocals) have attracted devotees across the globe for their inhumanly growling voices, turbo guitar skills and breathtaking breakdowns. Their new collection was assembled over a month at their local Hobbs and Boyers InLine Studio with production by Christian Donaldson (Beneath the Massacre, Ingested) and Dominic Grimard (Cryptopsy, Shadow of Intent). The battle-scarred pros of almost 35 years have played over 2,000 shows globally in various lineup configurations, and this record is blazing a metallic trail that zips past our ears.
