RIP Deep Purple's Jon Lord

Deep Purple keyboardist and founding member Jon Lord has passed away aged 71. Lord was a classically trained pianist and continued classical work alongside Deep Purple and later projects like White Snake. Last year he received an honourary Doctor of Music degree from University of Leicester, his hometown.
