Press Release:

For the first time ever in NZ, both Paul Di' Anno and Blaze Bayley, both former Iron Maiden vocalists, will share the stage, performing nothing but Iron Maiden classics, no solo material, just Maiden.

Iron Maiden are one of the biggest names in the music industry with over 100 million record sales worldwide. They are innovators in the Heavy Metal world, being the leaders of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, the NWOBHM, which also spawned Def Leppard, Saxon, Diamond head, Tygers Of Pan Tang and countless others. They were the true epitome of Heavy Metal and changed the music world forever having influenced every band that followed them with such legends as Metallica even citing them as a major influence. Any heavy band is pretty much guaranteed to cite Iron Maiden as a major influence.

It all started with their first two ground breaking albums, the self titled debut and its follow up Killers. These two albums featured the unique vocals of Paul Dianno and featured such classics still to this day as Phantom Of The Opera, Wrathchild, Running Free, Sanctuary, Killers and there battle cry to this day, Iron Maiden. With tens of millions of these albums sold to date, with the passing of time Iron Maiden unfortunately rarely perform any of these tracks live anymore. Leaving a cast void for the Maiden fan wanting to hear these songs. Well here is there chance, with original vocalist on both these albums, Paul Dianno, performing nothing but the songs from these groundbreaking records. Paul has toured Australia / New Zealand a couple of times before, but this is a first with NOTHING but Maiden being performed. BUT, the added bonus is Blaze Bayley is coming to.

Blaze Bayley has never been to NZ before, and in a set up like this tour, what an introduction. In the early nineties at the peak of their career, Bruce Dickinson left Iron Maiden, after a long hunt, Blaze Bayley from Wolfsbane was chosen, and he became the frontman for one of the biggest bands in the world at the peak of their career.

Blaze went on to record 2 albums for Iron Maiden, The X Factor, and Virtual XI. Including now classic tracks such as Sign Of The Cross, Futureal, Lord Of The Flies, Man On The Edge and many more. Only 1 or 2 songs from these albums are still performed by Maiden, so this is a first for these tracks to be heard live by the vocalist who recorded them,Blaze Bayley.

Both these legends, here in Australia and New Zealand, together for the first time, performing NOTHING but Iron Maiden, with maybe a few surprises as well with sharing songs. This is a must for all Metal and Hard Rock fans to see where this beast we call Metal came from, and how its done.

Special extremely limited VIP tickets are available where you get entry to show, a VIP laminate, a few goodies, and get to have a beer with both Paul Di' Anno and Blaze Bayley before the show. Get photos, stuff signed, shoot the shit.

See you there
