Check Out The Interactive Video For Beck's Cover of Bowie's 'Sound of VIsion'
Alright, are you comfortable? Sit back and relax - move into your favourite chair even - because there's quite a lot to take in here. On top of Beck releasing his last album as sheet music only (watch a whole lot of people interpret those songs on Beck's Song Reader website, noting how much you wish he'd just released an album-proper), and on top of his recording of 20+ minute remixes of Phillip Glass, he recently laid down a cover of David Bowie's 'Sound and Vision' complete with 167+ musicians. Not only THAT, but the reason this latest thing exists is because Ford Motor Company paid for it, in order to promote the Lincoln, tagline: innovation of a classic. Got it?
BUT, it doesn't end there because Beck being Beck has taken those 167+ musicians and shot an interactive video for the track. Watch all 360-degress of the action, watch the 'black hole' version, hell, use your head/web-cam to movie all of the cameras around. Also, if you don't have headphones you may as well go home right now because you won't get the "360-degree, binaural sound" OK.
Get amongst over here, noting the 15-30 minute load time. Is it worth it? I don't know, you be the judge.
