Listen: Beck - Defriended

A couple of months ago Beck announced that he would release an acoustic album follow-up (there is also talk of a non-acoustic album release, too) to his Song Reader, which he released last year on McSweeney's. Today he drops a non-acoustic track called 'Defriended' which is part of a separate single release due out this summer. The song continues in the sonically melancholic vein of his last album-proper (non-acoustic, non-sheet music) Modern Guilt as well as expressing similar subject matter: technology and how it has ruined the world, just casually.
