Listen: Okkervil River - It Was My Season

The bookish frontman of Okkervil River, Will Sheff, has been busying himself with side project Lovestreams of late but his band-proper return with a full length album this August called The Silver Gymnasium. The group have just dropped the first single from the record, in the form of a lyric video. Called 'It Was My Season' it's a lilting, piano-driven ditty - with trademark lyrical density and depressiveness - played and paused by an adorable older lady in a community hall. Have a listen below.
