Press Release:

MOUNTAINEATER RELEASE LONG AWAITED DEBUT ALBUM

‘MOUNTAINEATER’. NATIONWIDE TOUR IN SUPPORT OF RELEASE.

Under The Radar proudly present an album release tour that has been long awaited.

'Mountaineater' the self-titled debut album from Dunedin's most ferocious sonic trio is due for release on October 11th.

"If you thought HDU were capable of wreaking sonic destruction, this trio will leave you gasping" - Real Groove, April 2009

"If only they knew what dragons we slew..." On the eastern edge of the Heretaunga plains a giant sleeps. Dreams. Occasionally, he shifts. Ripples emanate across the plains. This is Te Mata O Rongokako. The Mountaineater. Here is music for his dreams. A soundtrack to his stirring. This is Mountaineater.

Recorded by Dale Cotton in Dunedin and Port Chalmers over the last 2 years, 'Mountaineater' is the second release by the band and their first on Banished From the Universe records.

"Music is a labour of love for many musicians in this country but, one with amazing rewards. We are blessed to have such a vibrant scene here. A community where that love is ever shared and ever grows." Tristan Dingemans
