Listen/Watch: Mean Girls - Blanked (Moppy Remix)

Auckland noise duo Mean Girls have just shared their latest video for the Moppy remix of their single 'Blanked'. Directed by Thom Burton (who also happens to be Moppy), the clip deconstructs different holiday footage (people ice skating, people laughing on a beach) and subverts it into something pretty frightening, evoking comparisons to hand-held horror films (A.K.A The Blair Witch Project). The remixed single is part of Mean Girls' EP Immixture, a multidisciplinary remix album the band released in April of his year.

Mean Girls have also just been announced as the local opening act for Canadian punk band Metz, when they play in New Zealand in December. Head over here for more information on this tour and to purchase tickets.
