Listen: Liars - Mess on a Mission

At the end of last year Liars announced they would release a follow up to their excellent 2012 album, WIXIW some time in 2014, and proceeded to post photos of a ball of brightly coloured string hanging out in random locations to their Tumblr. The album now has a name, Mess, a release date, March 24th via Mute, and the band have also shared the first single from the forthcoming record. Called 'Mess on a Mission' it seems to take both the cartoon nature of a potentially animated ball of brightly coloured string, and the experimental electronic sounds they explored on WIXIW, and combined them to create four minutes of driving, cartoon glitch.
