
The Cure Announce New Album
The Cure have got the internet all aflutter overnight after announcing the release of a new album this year. Tentatively titled 4:14 Scream, following on from 2008's 4.13: Dream, it will be the prolific Brits' 14th studio album since forming in the late 70s. Due out in the next few months it was apparently recorded at the same time as the 2008 record.
Along with the new album they also plan to release a series of live DVDs and tour albums The Top (1984), The Head on the Door (1985) and Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me (1987) - having previously toured Pornography (1982), Disintegration (1989) and Bloodflowers (2000) in 2002 and Seventeen Seconds (1980), Faith (1981) and their debut Three Imaginary Boys (1979) in 2011.
The band were last in New Zealand in 2007 and performed the 2011 trilogy at the Sydney Opera House for the Vivid Live Festival.
