95bFM Summer Series Returns - Lineup Announced

The 95bFM Summer Series is back, returning to where it belongs in the beautiful surrounds of Auckland's Albert Park next weekend. After a break last year and an outing at Silo Park in 2012, it's a welcome return indeed and with a fine lineup of local talent to boot - including: Die! Die! Die!, Team Cat Food, Team Dynamite, Labretta Suede and the Motel 6 (back from NY), The Cavemen and one more act to be announced (we've heard rumours of Shocking Pinks) - see below for all the details and here are some clips...

UPDATE: the final act is the promising Auckland group Miss June (Shocking Pinks couldn't make it but are planning a venture northwards sometime).

95bFM SUMMER SERIES

95bFM is ecstatic to announce the return of Summer Series, back at it's spiritual home of Albert Park, Saturday the 8th of March. It's free, it's all ages, and it's the perfect way to wave goodbye to the summer. In addition to the tradition that is spending a Saturday afternoon in the park, we've put together a lineup of bFM favourites to keep you entertained the whole day through.

Team Cat Food
Local duo Team Cat Food are no strangers to the bFM airwaves, with both "Time Convienience" and "Don't Doubt" getting plenty of attention, and having performed at the 95bFM Breakfast Club, they showed they are no slouches when it comes to their live performance. If their latest album 'Temporal' is anything to go by, Team Cat Food are the perfect way to vibe away the afternoon.

Team Dynamite
Team Dynamite are the latest artist to emerge from the Young Gifted and Broke collective, and they continue the theme of creating some of the best hip-hop in the country. Having just released their debut album "Shepherds Delight" earlier this February, Team Dynamite are set to blow up. Don't miss your chance to see the next big thing in rap before they go big.

Die! Die! Die!
​Die! Die! Die! have been busy touring the world and working on new material, but thankfully they're back for their first Auckland show for 2014. With a new album on the horizon, Die! Die! Die! ​promise to bring their usual energy and power to the Summer Series stage.

Labretta Suede and the Motel 6
Labretta Suede and The Motel 6 turned NINE years old this month, and what better way to celebrate everyone's favourite soulful rhythm'n'blues rock'n'roll band. You won't be able to look away once Labretta Suede is on stage and 'Doing The Savis' to see out the summer.

The Cavemen
​Known for being noisy, angry, and taking their shirts off, The Cavemen are one of the big up and coming bands in Auckland. Harking back to the punk scene in LA, they'll be ready to melt some faces in the summer heat on the 8th of March.

There'll also be plenty of food stalls and a bar to keep you going right throughout the afternoon.
