Listen: Shunkan - Strawberry Hair

Invercargill-based shoegaze artist Shunkan has unveiled a beautiful new track titled 'Strawberry Hair' through her Soundcloud page. The young musician, real name Marina Sakimoto, is planted in the South Island by way of Los Angeles and has steadily been building up an audience under the name Shunkan since the release of her Honey Milk and Blood  EP earlier this year. This new track sees Sakimoto shift away from the distorted guitar that graces her EP and utilise string sounds and a slow thudding bassline to build up a luscious track that is topped with her gliding vocals. Rumour has it Sakimoto is working on an album, but in the meantime have a listen to 'Strawberry Hair' below...
