Jakob Announce New Album 'Sines'
After an eight year wait fans will soon be able to get their hot hands on a new album from post-rockers Jakob. Titled Sines, the record is due to drop on October 17th and follows on from 2006 offering Solace. The super-long drink between albums has been equally frustrating for the three-piece who have had their recording progress hindered by multiple injuries.
Sines is being billed as "as much soundscape as rock-show", echoing their lush surrounding in the Hawkes Bay. It was recorded between Roundhead Studios in Auckland and Sister Lung Studios in Napier, and mastered by Chris Chetland at Kog. The band are set to tour the country later in the year, full details will be announced next month along with a first taste of the album. In the meantime check out a sneak peak of the album artwork over here.
